Our History
Founded and registered in 2008 under the name Yayasan Cahaya Impian Masa Depan (dream of a better future), Geert Van Praet (Belgium) aspired to do create opportunities for less fortunate children. Together with Luh Ayu Susila Dewi and Suanda they started to send children to school in Amed (east Bali) and Lovina (north Bali). What started out as a small idea, has grown into 3 different projects, supporting more than 200 children every year.
Our Vision
Foundation CIMD empowers disabled individuals and those from underprivileged backgrounds by creating opportunities to break free from poverty and overcome the barriers that limit their potential. Our mission is to provide free access to education, therapy, and medical care while fostering a supportive environment where every child feels seen, valued, and capable. Through our schools, community programs, and specialized care, we guide them toward a healthier and brighter future. They gain the skills, confidence, and independence needed to build better lives for themselves. Our goal is to help children grow into adults who create opportunities for the next generation and support adults in finding a purposeful place within their community.
